FAME 2nd Biennial Conference, July 15 – 17, 2016

Registration is now OPEN!

Join us for a weekend of tuneful, beautiful, and artful workshops and activities with great clinicians on the beautiful campus of Gordon College in Wenham, MA for the 2nd Biennial FAME Conference. This year’s Headliner Presenter is Alice Parker.

Alice will be giving the Keynote Address, a workshop and lead the Saturday night Community Sing. aliceparkerShe is a living musical legend, with over fifty years’ experience in teaching which has given her the ability to express her ideas in clear and memorable language. Her love of poetry and of the lyric line in both words and songs undergirds her understanding. She has identified techniques which work for composers, performers and teachers, and inspires any group which works with her to be a wonderfully musical, expressive and communicative singer.

In addition to Alice Parker, you will be able to learn from experienced music educators who share best practices in finding success using teaching methods such as Dr. Feierabend’s First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege curriculum. And we will be kicking off the entire weekend with a Strawberry Social helping us celebrate the diverse folk music that connects our musical community spanning generations. Country dancing called by John Feierabend accompanied by live music is a great way to begin the Conference.

DR_John_Profile“Join us for an inspiring weekend – bringing music educators together to experience the joy and exuberance of song and dance, the opportunity to explore best practices in teaching methods, and the benefit of sharing common experiences with colleagues who share a passion for advancing musical learning for all students.”
                                  – Dr. John Feierabend
