We are excited to introduce another, unique version of a Feierside Chat that we are calling Tea with Missy. In these extended interviews, Dr. Strong will talk to various music educators including the Feierabends, our Endorsed Teacher Trainers, and other music teachers from the US and around the world. Topics will center on all things Feierabend, including First Steps and Conversational Solfege in specific applications and settings, new materials and resources available for the classroom, and just about music education in general.
In our first Tea Chat, Missy talks with Rachel Grimsby, one of the authors of the brand new book, First Steps in Music with Orff. They discuss how a practitioner might benefit from the book, and whether or not someone who isn’t well-versed in Orff or First Steps in Music can still utilize it.
Then, make yourself a spot of tea and watch another episode in which Dr. Feierabend shares fascinating (and often entertaining!) stories from his childhood in Detroit, Michigan and how he ended up on his own music education journey.
