FIRST STEPS IN MUSIC CERTIFICATION COURSE CPE
The goal of this course is to impact student learning by teaching attendees to implement techniques in their classrooms to help students think tunefully, to understand the role of tuneful thinking in a child’s overall musical development, to understand the 4×4 procedure for tune acquisition, to implement strategies and techniques in their classroom to engage their children’s vocal lengthening muscles, to implement techniques to help their students move expressively and to a steady beat, to understand the role of Movement Exploration and Movement for Form and Expression in a child’s overall musical development, and to understand the importance of following a child’s steady beat when first teaching how to keep a steady beat.
