Lindsay_JacksonLindsay Jackson is teaching elementary music and choir and currently teaches at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. She holds a B.M.Ed from Westminster Choir College (2005) and an M.M.Ed from the Hartt School, University of Hartford (2012).

While at Hartt, Lindsay served as the graduate assistant for Dr. John Feierabend where she assisted in teaching his undergraduate methods classes. She is fully certified in Kodály (Levels 1-4) and FAME (First Steps and Conversational Solfège). Lindsay is a founding member of the Feierabend Association of Music Education and was featured as a FAME Teacher Spotlight in February 2015. Lindsay is very active in the Organization of American Kodály Educators (OAKE) and is serving as President of the New Jersey chapter (Kodály New Jersey).

Lindsay is passionate about Dr. Feierabend’s teaching philosophy and sees each day how FS and CS allow her students to become tuneful, beatful, and artful as well as musically independent. She has also seen how incorporating the Feierabend philosophy and materials has instilled a sense of community in her classroom and in her school at large.

Lindsay hopes to continue to build the organization that she was so proud to help found back in 2012.
