Mission Statement:
First Steps is a simple, intuitive and natural process providing a framework and logical sequence to music instruction. The pedagogy of First Steps in Music is vital and necessary in our schools and through Dr. Feierabend’s philosophy, research, and strategies I find joy, fun, and meaning within the structure of the lessons and content. With First Steps students are given the opportunity in every class session to be Tuneful, Beatful, and Artful regardless of academic or musical ability. First Steps also offers a vibrant connection — a cultural link between teacher, student, family, and community.
