Move It! Movement for Form and Expression
Move it! Activities allow students of all ages to connect with the expressive part of music on their journey to become more artful. The movements and gestures are created to reflect both this expressive quality and the form of each piece, embodying Dr. Feierabend’s theories of music and movement development. The movements often elicit those “goosebumps” moments when we connect with the composer’s expressive intent.
Periodically, we will debut another new Move it! complete with a video and detailed, written directions for how to perform it. This is exclusive to FAME members only. If you’d like to become a member, sign up now!
NOTE: All Move It videos and resources are presented for demonstration purposes as educational resources for teachers only. Each individual is responsible for obtaining proper licenses and copyright permissions for all works presented in your classroom or shared publicly.
